Nancy is a dedicated yoga teacher based in Oxford, whose practice is deeply rooted in a diverse and extensive background. Originally from Berlin, Germany, she embarked on her yoga journey in the early 1990s at the Sivananda Yoga Vedanta Zentrum in Berlin. Her path later expanded through time spent in the USA, where she discovered Buddhism, which she has practiced for over two decades.
Since relocating to London in 2003, Nancy immersed herself in Bikram Yoga and explored a variety of other styles, further enriching her approach. In 2021, she completed her yoga teacher training with Nourish Yoga Training in Oxford, complemented by specialised certifications in yoga for special needs, accessible yoga, and yoga for children and teens. This broad expertise enables her to create inclusive and adaptable classes tailored to diverse groups.
Nancy brings her inclusive vision to a range of teaching environments, including schools, gyms, and the Garsington Village Hall. Her academic background spans economics, gender studies, and public relations, and she possesses professional experience across media, events, dance, and finance. This unique blend of skills informs her holistic and thoughtful approach to yoga instruction.
In April, Nancy completed the London Marathon 2023 with the same grace and determination that characterise her yoga practice, running in support of the charity Scope. Her commitment goes beyond the mat, as she consistently directs proceeds from her yoga activities to support Scope’s mission, embodying compassion in every step and breath. An avid trail marathon runner, she uses her meditation skills to push beyond hills and mountains, demonstrating resilience and mindfulness in every challenging terrain she conquers.
